Trip to the beach

Today we went on a "family" trip to the beach. there was Nicki (Fi's sister) and Pete (Fi's cousin), Elisabeth (Tim's sister) and Paul (Tim's Brother).

Even though it was quite a clod day (also quite cold :P), we went into the sea (with the help of wet-suits) and had great fun playing in the waves. wont go as far as saying we surfed... Paul did, but the best the rest of us could do was fall of attempting to stand.
Great fun.

Ebe weekend away

We had a lovely weekend at Hebron hall in Wales last weekend.

Last Day

So our final morning had arrived. Our flight from St Denis airport wasn't until 9pm so we made the most of the day. We had decided that rather than going the short route, over the mountains, we would go along the west coast & around the north of the island meaning we will have travelled around the coast. After packing up & bidding farwell to our hosts we headed off.

We stopped off at different beaches to the last time, such as St Gilles (where we sat eating icecream watching the crazy surfers).



As we headed north the rain clouds started to gather & we had one of our few showers of rain driving through St Denis. By the time we had arrived at the airport the skies had cleared again & it was time to say goodbye for now to Tim's tropical island....

Last Full Day in Reunion

Our last full day had arrived.... it was a day of rest & relaxation (especially after the previous day's exertions) and we also did a few boring things like checking that of flight details were still what we thought they were - we had already had a few flight changes before we left home & I must admit it was niggling a bit. We had a very tight turnaround time in Paris and I was being a worrier.

Anyway, having been into St Pierre to an internet cafe, knowing there was nothing else we could do about flights, we had some lunch & headed to Grand Anse to enjoy the beach again. We soaked in the sunshine, enjoyed the sea and relaxed we stayed to watch a final sunset.
