Cycling again

As it was such a lovely Sunday we went out on the bikes again. Went a bit further this time as speed increased with pumped tyres & a bit more confidence.

Hello Patio :)

Well, having rid our garden of dodgy deck we had to do something to sort it out.

Here are a few photos of a busy day which saw the arrival of the Patio. There may be a few aching muscles tomorrow.



The fact that Lucy decided not to sleep means I forgot to take a photo at the end, so that & our time lapse video are to follow.

On the move

Lucy is discovering that she doesn't have to be on her knees to get where she wants to go. She is loving the walking thing & usually has a big grin & giggles while having a go. She's still a bit wobbly at the moment but it won't be long until we'll have a whole new set of things to move out of reach!

Bye Bye Deck

The long threatened removal of the deck at the end of our garden finally happened on Saturday. It had become very rotten so wasn't useable & really wasn't safe anymore. It took less time to dismantle than it took to cart all the bits from the garden to the car. It all fitted in one car load which seems impressive for a Seat Leon.

Now we've just got to decide what replaces it & get on with that. I have a feeling that could feel like harder work...

Lucy's 1st Bike Ride

We took Lucy out for her first cycle ride this afternoon. We had gotten the bike seat for Christmas but hadn't had a nice & warm enough day where we had time to give it a go until now.

She really enjoyed it. It was only for about 10- 15 minutes but it was a great start. :)

I think this is soooooo cute. I absolutely love listening to Lucy 'read'. It never fails to bring a smile to my face.
