A day out with friends

Its so nice to be able to go to the countryside and spend time with friends.

Pitty we don't do it more often!

Last Saterday, we (Andrew and Carol, Andy and Shelley, Wendy, Fiona and I) went to Dyrham Park. It was a lovely afternoon, if a little on the chilly side.

This is us going the wrong way! don't seem too worried do we.

We went back to Shelley's for the rest of the day/ evening. Matt and Lizy joined us and we had a great time catching up, playing games and throwing little red balls at each other. ("basket case", thanks Wendy and Stu!).

Jamie Cullum Concert

We went to see Jamie Cullum at the Colston Hall on Wednesday 11th January with Pete & Tuesday & had a brilliant time.

The music was fab but taking pictures in a dark concert hall when we were right at the back & Jamie was jumping about wasn't easy...

These two blurry guys were the support act - Nizlopi. Very cool performers and of course they played the JCB song! We didn't know that they were playing too so it was a nice surprise!

Christmas Part 2

We headed over to Dublin on Christmas Eve for just over a week . It was good to see all the family (well almost all - no Nicki; she was on safari!) and catch up with them.

Christmas day was spent at Fiona's Grandparents with the cousins. It was a fun day with the usual eating too much & getting too warm in fornt of the fire. Present opneing caused some silliness mind you & as often happens when the cousins all get to gether the conversation gets techi....Christmas dinner was eaten off our knees which was different but I think eating at the dining table might have been a bit chilly as it was in the garage!


During our week we did lots of relaxing, some computer repairs on Tim's part, went on a few walks & did some kite flying too. On Wednesday we went down to Brittas Bay - it was such a beautiful day with just enough wind for Tim to get the kite up.


While we were there we saw some very hardy types out in the sea in canoes & on boards - a bit too cold for my liking even with a wetsuit!
